Inner Circle Personal Day Twelve and on and on

Inner Circle Personal Day Twelve and on and on

Clarity is everything.

Keeping track brings clarity.

One of the best things we can do for ourselves is to step back.

While I had good intentions to share daily journals with my personal inner circle, it is too much.  I’m going to consolidate it here.

I’m grateful for:

  1. the beauty of nature
  2. my family
  3. my husband
  4. my friends
  5. good books
  6. nice music
  7. sunshine
  8. water

I’ve been sick.  Those women at water aerobics are tough cookies!  I have swimmers ear and a very sore rotator cuff.  I’m going to do my own thing for a while, but I’m not giving up.  I love the water.

I took a step back in my sleep because my ear hurt.  I need 8 hours to keep my migraines at bay.

Today, I’m resetting my alarms for every hour.  Drinking my water.  Eating well.  My ear feels better from ear drops, so, I’m hoping for a good nights sleep.

Tomorrow

  1. Lemon in the morning.
  2. Journal.
  3. I will sleep longer.
  4. Get my work done so I can play with kids next week.

10000 steps today

water aerobics

Ezekial toast

10 ounces mind alert coffee

80 ounces water with alkaline/calcium-magnesium

Inner Circle Personal Day Eleven – Thursday

Inner Circle Personal Day Eleven – Thursday

Clarity is everything.

Keeping track brings clarity.

I’m upping my game today!  I’m going to track my protein.  I’m ready to move from physical therapy to muscle building.  Here I need a line of laughing emojis.  So, I’m going to track my food better, and while I won’t commit to listing my food later at night here, I will commit to planning it and then confirming the next day if I hit my mark.  To build muscle, I have to be consistent with my strength training and a little more diligent, and eat more protein.  I don’t like fish at all and i don’t like meat and I’m allergic to eggs, and can’t eat dairy, so it will take some planning to get enough protein.  And, what is enough protein?  Approx 120 grams per day.  Hello hemp seeds.  Haha, my allowance of protein in hemp seeds would be 1944 calories.  I’d probably gain 2 lbs a week.  This will take some thought.

I put this short list together for people who were stuck at home in 2020:

  1. EAT MORE FRUITS AND VEGETABLES
  2. MINIMIZE STRESS
  3. WASH YOUR HANDS
  4. GET ENOUGH SLEEP
  5. DRINK IN MODERATION
  6. EXERCISE EVERY DAY
  7. EAT AT HOME
  8. LIST YOUR GRATITUDE
  9. KEEP IT CLEAN
  10. A GOOD BOOK IS YOUR FRIEND
  11. PLANT YOUR GARDEN
  12. FORGIVE OTHERS
  13. SHARE GENEROUSLY
  14. LEARN SOMETHING NEW

I made a coloring book to go along with it and gave it to people stuck in their nursing home rooms.  Then, I gave it in digital form to anyone who wanted it.  It was good for me to do something creative, and then it felt good to share it.  I’m not like Oprah, where I can give away cars, but I can give Walmart crayons and coloring pages.  It was fun.  If we could all just incorporate this short list, it would take us far.  None of it is huge, but it all adds up.

I’m grateful for:

  1. challenges
  2. blue eyed puppy dogs
  3. good books
  4. babies
  5. Thursdays

It’s 10:25 and I have my STRONG UBWO in 40 grams of protein, 60 oz of water, and 2 miles, 2 blogs, and a meeting…plus I got 8.19 hours of sleep last night – miraculously.

I’ll be back later with a protein rich nutrition meal plan and a list of what I’ll do better tomorrow – I’m going to get a cup of cayenne/lemon water!

Tomorrow

  1. Lemon in the morning.
  2. Journal here at the end of the afternoon before dinner
  3. I will sleep longer.  I only slept 7.19 hours last night so I need another hour of sleep.  I’ll go to sleep early.  Finish eating by 5:30

Inner Circle Personal Day Ten – Wednesday

Inner Circle Personal Day Ten – Wednesday

Clarity is everything.

Keeping track brings clarity.

Music changes everything.  I just want to say, my hair doesn’t get wet when I’m in charge of water aerobics.

I also like to be in charge of music.  Wouldn’t you like to go crazy moving to the music rather than “and left and right, front and back….”

Remember the meme with the messy haired girl hanging upside down from the ballet bar while all the other little girls have perfect plies?  Well I’ll let you visualize this one.  I’m doing my own thing for water aerobics from now on, but I do love them!  Today I listened to 2010 pop – I giggled at the thought that 2010 was oldies!

I’m hooking the Sonos back up.  Do you all do music with everything.  Music makes life better.

How many books do you read?  I’ve been getting a lot of questions about what I read.  I had someone say they can tell everything about people by what they read – but not me.  I read everything.  I’m a book vaccuum.

I read at least a book a day.  Sometimes 2 or 3 if they’re nonfiction.   I read a good book that I highly recommend by Dr. Mark Hyman Forever Young.

I read a lot of fiction too.  A lot of the non fiction motivational books have a tendency to sound the same.  Over and over, they even quote each other.  Listen to music for a while.  I read a non fiction account of four women spies on both sides of the civil war.  That was inspiring.  I’m not sure I would do that.  I read books for business, wellness, and coaching.  I also read books for entertainment, mostly historical fiction.

I’m grateful for:

  1. music
  2. books
  3. bravery
  4. books
  5. people who arrange pretty flowers
  6. Gary
  7. Debbie making vacation plans for us

I did several things well today – It’s 2:25 as I write this and I’ve written a lot, had a couple of meetings.  Walked 8,000 steps and done water aerobics.  Been to the flower shop to get some flowers arranged.  Drank a lot, but not my lemon yet.  I will.  I’ve had the peace green drink and a shot of ginger.  And at least 80 oz of water… so I’m good.  I’m going to have stuffed pepper tonight for dinner.

I need to get ahead with some of my work because I have 3 weeks in the next six weeks to spend with family.  We’ll be air boating in the swampland and celebrating my babies 40th birthday in England and going through dungeons in Scotland. You have to make it good when you don’t see some of your grandkids except once a year.  So – watch for secrets on how to keep from getting bug bites and if that doesn’t work – how to keep from itching.

Tomorrow

  1. Lemon in the morning.
  2. Journal here at the end of the afternoon before dinner
  3. I will sleep longer.  I only slept 7.19 hours last night so I need another hour of sleep.  I’ll go to sleep early.  Finish eating by 5:30

Inner Circle Personal Day Nine – Tuesday

Inner Circle Personal Day Nine – Tuesday

Clarity is everything.

Keeping track brings clarity.

I’m a creature of habit.  Only because I don’t forget that way.  Book club on the first Tuesday morning of every month and I get a massage for migraines on the first Tuesday afternoon of every month.  So, I’m looking forward to that while Gary is golfing.  I went through about 40 emails in the last two hours and spiced them up.  I’ve been putting that off for a few weeks and feel pretty good having that fininshed.

Today is the anniversary of my dad’s death.  It’s a sad day.  It’s also a happy day because I’m a lucky girly to have had a great dad.  I started doing that Storyworth so, I’m aware he wasn’t a touchy feely, lovey dad when I was little, but he was a great example and said the right things that bolstered my self confidence as a grownup..  I miss him.  I know my mom does.  I respect my mom for how strong she’s been since he’s been gone.  That has to be hard.

What do you think of these pictures?  I love pretty.  It doesn’t take too much for pretty does it?

  • Still grateful for my family
  • Gary
  • Amanda
  • Software and hardware that works
  • good doctors
  • good neighbors
  • good customer service
  • animals that are happy to see us
  • good music
  • haha Kevin Bacon on facebook with his wife – they’re so cute

What I did good:

8.11 hours of sleep!!!!!

finished those letters

Tomorrow

  1. Fill an 80 ounce container with water to empty through the day

Inner Circle Personal Day Eight – Monday

Inner Circle Personal Day Eight – Monday

Clarity is everything.

Keeping track brings clarity.

I love Mondays!  They’re a new beginning!  This was my Facebook post when Gary and I were out walking Koca before 8 am today.   One road, two different views – depends which way you look…

Of course, it ended up being a lovely day.  But, if you’re inclined to judge a book by its cover, it could have gone either way.

Mondays are a good day to revisit your values, opportunities, and goals and make necessary navigational shifts.  I like to leave Mondays unscheduled to get work caught up, and new things started.  Sometimes it’s nice to have a free day when we feel inspired.

I’m not totally unscheduled on Mondays because that’s team meeting day too.  It gives them a day to set goals and be inspired.

I’m doing well with my goals.  The increase in water has been impressive.  Very easy when you set yourself up to win with the water at your fingertips.  That is a no effort win. Easy.

I’ve decided this week my big efforts or maybe, my smart move to find a no effort win is for consistent 8 hours of sleep.  That means breathing to reduce stress, I’ve done better at that.  Gratitude lists here.  Taking care of things that cause me stress so I don’t carry them over to the next day.  Keep up the good work on exercise, food, and little to no television.

Funny story: I listed everything I’d like in my salads this week, and Gary tried to put it all in one salad today (I’d like a rolling eyes emoji here.)  Plus, then, he wanted roasted vegetables – another emoji – well, I couldn’t eat all of that even if I I had one of each thing.    I know.  I’m lucky he tries to make me happy.  I stopped him in time.  We just had his roasted vegetables, and he had his chicken, and I had some hemp seeds… so it was a good salad…but let me tell you what I kept off and saved for later meals.

  1. apples, walnuts, celery
  2. pears, almonds
  3. strawberries, pecans
  4. tomatoes, pine nuts

Yes, that would have been one heck of a salad.

  1. Those lemons are there because I will be better about adding lemon to my water once a day.  I’ve gotten a little lax about that.  Lemon and cayenne are a nice way to start the day.  I have fixings for golden milk too.  I will have that, too, night.  I don’t know when I will have time to eat.  I have so much to drink.
  •  Gary, very grateful for him
  • My family
  • my neighbors
  • Amanda – oh my gosh
  • marble
  • sunshine
  • lizards
  • my brother inviting us for dinner even if we can’t go but especially when we can
  • more tomorrow

Tomorrow

  1. Add lemon to my water once
  2. Journal here at the end of the afternoon before dinner
  3. Sleep longer by going to bed early.  Skip my glass of wine.

Inner Circle Personal Day Six and Seven Weekend

Inner Circle Personal Day Six and Seven Weekend

Clarity is everything.

Keeping track brings clarity.

I was sore.  I’m testing Amanda’s Demon Strength Battle Balm against my Peppermint Oil and Deep Blue.  I did two days of water aerobics this week and tried to be smart in form, but over accomodated for my bad arm and my rotator cuff is very sore.  So is my upper thigh…that’s a good sore though.

Saturday was supposed to be my day to rest, but I tried to work, and everything worked backward on me, so I gave up halfway through the day and rested.  Good thinking.  I still got 11,000 steps in (leisurely) and had a fun day.  Sunday, we went to change out my mom’s hearing aid filters and expected to need to make a trip to West Palm to get those fixed and were able to fix them ourselves, so we had the entire day to play!

It was also Sykora’s 19th birthday.   I’m looking forward to another visit with all of our grandchildren soon.  We’re doing the Storyworth, and I’m finding a vast difference in what I remember for me and what I remember for my grandchildren.  I’m looking forward to talking to them about it.  I think it’s interesting the way I think of the attention and love we give babies and what they may feel and be aware of.

I’m winning at the water increase!  I’m keeping up with journaling and finding ways to keep up with the time imposition of doing it online.  While I love the water aerobics, I’m going to find ways to avoid overcompensating and injuring myself.  I’m going for a cross between adding fun activity and safety.

Tomorrow

  1. Get those timers working
  2. Get my own water aerobics set
  3. Sleep longer by going to bed early.

10000 minimum steps

strawberry/protein smoothie

10 ounces mind alert coffee
